Determining Lawful and Unlawful Activities

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that the difference between lawful and unlawful activities is determined by the use of a drum and singing at weddings.

It was narrated from Muhammad bin Hatib that the Messenger of Allah said: "What differentiates between the lawful and the unlawful is (beating) the Daff and raising the voices (in song) at the time of marriage".

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic teachings , Use a drum called daff & raise voices in song at weddings .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that there are certain activities which are considered lawful or permissible in Islam, such as marriage ceremonies. He also taught us that there are certain activities which are considered unlawful or forbidden in Islam. In order to differentiate between these two types of activities, he instructed us to use a drum called a daff and to raise our voices in song at the time of marriage. This is an important lesson for all Muslims as it helps us to understand what is permissible and what is not permissible according to Islamic teachings.

The Prophet ﷺ also wanted us to be mindful of our actions so that we do not engage in any activity which could be deemed unlawful according to Islamic teachings. By following his instructions on how to differentiate between lawful and unlawful activities, we can ensure that we remain within the boundaries set by Allah SWT.
