QUICK LESSONS:
Respect your family members and follow Islamic Law

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad being offered the daughter of his uncle, Hamzah bin 'Abdul-Muttalib, in marriage. However, he refused because they were related through breastfeeding. This means that even though they weren't related by blood ties, their relationship was still too close for them to marry each other according to Islamic law. This hadith teaches us that relationships formed through breastfeeding are just as important and should be respected as much as those formed by blood ties. It also shows us that we should always respect our family members and not do anything that would go against Islamic law or hurt our relationships with them.
