EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the generosity of a woman named Sauda bint Zam’a. She was an elderly woman who gave her day to ‘Aisha, another wife of the Prophet Muhammad, so that he could visit her instead. This act shows us how generous and kind she was in giving up something precious for someone else’s benefit. It also teaches us that we should be generous with our time and resources, even if it means sacrificing something for someone else’s benefit. The Prophet Muhammad appreciated this gesture and visited ‘Aisha on that day as a sign of gratitude towards his wife’s generosity.
