It was narrated by 'Aishah that a man wanted to exchange his wife for a new one and the woman agreed on the condition that he would not spend nights with her. In response to this situation, Allah revealed the verse “And making peace is better” which means it is better to make peace with your spouse than exchanging them for another person.
