Playing with Dolls in the Presence of the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) allowed 'Aishah to play with dolls and even brought her friends to join in.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I used to play with dolls when I was with the Messenger of Allah, and he used to bring my friends to me to play with me".
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْقَاضِي، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَلْعَبُ بِالْبَنَاتِ وَأَنَا عِنْدَ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ ـ فَكَانَ يُسَرِّبُ إِلَىَّ صَوَاحِبَاتِي يُلاَعِبْنَنِي

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was very understanding and compassionate towards children, even allowing them to play with dolls in his presence. He also showed kindness by bringing 'Aishah's friends over so she could have someone to play with. This hadith teaches us that it is important for adults to be patient and understanding when it comes to children, as well as encouraging them in their activities and hobbies. It also shows us that we should be kind towards others, especially those who are younger than us, by helping them out or spending time with them if they need it.
