Respect others’ privacy, Pray witr before going to bed

This hadith was narrated by Ash'ath bin Qais who was a guest at the home of 'Umar one night. In the middle of the night 'Umar went and hit his wife and Ash'ath separated them. After this incident 'Umar said to him three things that he heard from Prophet Muhammad; firstly that a man should not be asked why he beats his wife, secondly do not go to sleep until you have prayed Witr and thirdly something which Ash'ath forgot. This hadith emphasizes on two important points; firstly it is wrong to ask why a man beats his wife as it is none of our business what goes on in their relationship. Secondly it also stresses on praying Witr before going to bed as it is an important part of our faith as Muslims. It teaches us that we should always prioritize our faith over everything else in life no matter how tired or busy we are.
