QUICK LESSONS:
Respect your spouse’s wishes; communicate openly; commit yourself fully; be honest in your dealings with each other.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of marriage contracts and how they should be renewed when necessary. It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad's daughter Zainab was married to Abul-As bin Rabi'. When it came time for them to renew their marriage contract, the Prophet Muhammad himself took part in this process and made sure that it was done properly. This shows us how important it is for couples to keep their marriage contracts up-to-date and valid in order for them to remain legally married according to Islamic law. It also teaches us that even though we may not always agree with our spouse on certain matters, we should still strive to maintain a healthy relationship by respecting each other's wishes and working together towards common goals.
