QUICK LESSONS:
Seek justice instead of taking matters into your own hands without proper investigation or evidence; Respect each other's rights; Be honest in marriage

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man from among the Ansar who married a woman from Bal’ijlan. After spending the night with her, he claimed that she was not a virgin. The case was taken to the Prophet (ﷺ), who called for both parties and asked them questions. The woman said that she was indeed a virgin and so he instructed them to go through the procedure of Li’an. This is an Islamic practice in which both parties make an oath before Allah that they are telling the truth about their claims regarding virginity or adultery. If one party is found guilty then they will be cursed by Allah for lying under oath and if both parties are found innocent then they will be blessed by Allah for speaking truthfully under oath. This hadith teaches us about honesty in marriage as well as respecting each other's rights even when there are disputes between spouses or partners. It also shows us how important it is to seek justice in such matters instead of taking matters into our own hands without proper investigation or evidence.
