Respect those who have passed away; Show compassion towards those grieving their loss; Express sorrow appropriately without going overboard with it; Wear only non-dyed clothes during mourning period; Apply only little Qust and Azfar at the beginning of purity during mourning period .

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) taught us about the etiquette of mourning for a deceased person. He said that it should not exceed three days, except in the case of a woman who has lost her husband - in which case she can mourn him for four months and ten days. During this time, he advised women to avoid wearing dyed clothes or applying kohl or perfume - with an exception being made at the beginning of her purity when she may apply a little Qust and Azfar. This hadith teaches us about respecting those who have passed away as well as showing compassion towards those who are grieving their loss by allowing them to express their sorrow in an appropriate manner without going overboard with it.
