The Justice of Judges

SUMMARY: Allah will be with the judge as long as they are just, but if they rule unjustly, Allah will leave them to their own devices.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abu Awfa that the Messenger of Allah said: "Allah is with the judge so long as he is not unjust, but if he rules unjustly, He entrusts him to himself".
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ الْقَطَّانِ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِمْرَانَ - عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْقَاضِي مَا لَمْ يَجُرْ فَإِذَا جَارَ وَكَلَهُ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of justice in a judge's rulings. It teaches us that when a judge is just and fair in their decisions, Allah will be with them and help guide them. However, if a judge rules unjustly or unfairly then Allah will leave them to their own devices and not help guide them. This hadith also teaches us that it is important for judges to always strive for justice in all of their rulings so that they can receive the guidance from Allah. It also reminds us that we should always seek justice when we are wronged or have been treated unfairly by someone else.
