The Importance of Making Paths Wide

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised people to make paths wide enough for two people to walk side by side.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Make the path seven forearms length wide".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُثَنَّى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الضُّبَعِيُّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ اجْعَلُوا الطَّرِيقَ سَبْعَةَ أَذْرُعٍ
