Refraining from Harming Others

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that one should not harm others nor respond to harm with more harm.

It was narrated from 'Ubadah bin Samit that the Messenger of Allah ruled: "There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm".

QUICK LESSONS:
Do not cause any harm or injury to another person

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by 'Ubadah bin Samit, teaches us an important lesson about how we should interact with others. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that we should not cause any harm to another person and also refrain from responding to any harm done to us with more harm. This is a difficult lesson as it requires us to have patience and self-control in the face of provocation or injustice. It is only through this practice that we can create a peaceful society where everyone can live in harmony and respect each other's rights. We must strive to follow this teaching of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) so that our communities can benefit from its positive effects.
