Sunan Ibn Majah 2352 (Book 13, Hadith 45) #31704
Settling Disputes Between Parents

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ was asked to settle a dispute between two parents, one of whom was a disbeliever. He prayed for the disbeliever to be guided and ruled that the Muslim parent should go with them.

It was narrated from 'Abdul-Hamid bin Salamah, from his father, from his grandfather, that : his parents referred their dispute to the Prophet , and one of them was a disbeliever. He (the Prophet ) said: "O Allah, guide him," and he turned towards the Muslim, and he ruled that he should go with that parent.
