Gratitude to Allah for Blessings

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ praised Allah for providing food, drink and making them Muslims.

It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed said: "Whenever the Prophet ate, he would say: Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi at’amana wa saqana wa ja’alana Muslimin (Praise is to Allah Who has fed us, given us to drink, and made us Muslims)".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ رِيَاحِ بْنِ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ مَوْلًى، لأَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ـ ـ إِذَا أَكَلَ طَعَامًا قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of being grateful to Allah for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that whenever we eat or drink, we should thank Allah for providing us with sustenance and making us Muslims. Being thankful to God is a sign of faith and humility, as it shows that we recognize our dependence on Him and His mercy towards us. We should also be thankful for all the other blessings in our lives such as good health, family, friends etc., which are often taken for granted but are essential parts of life.
