The Struggles of the Family of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The family of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not have enough to eat until he passed away.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The family of Muhammad never ate their fill of barley bread until he was taken (ie died)".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ مَا شَبِعَ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ ـ ـ مِنْ خُبْزِ الشَّعِيرِ حَتَّى قُبِضَ
