Seeking Refuge from Hunger and Treachery

SUMMARY: Seeking refuge from hunger and treachery in the heart.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of seeking refuge with Allah from two things - hunger and treachery. Hunger can be seen as a bad companion because it can lead to desperation, while treachery is something that should not be hidden in one's heart as it will only bring harm. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to turn to Allah when we are faced with difficult situations, such as these two, so that He may protect us and provide us with guidance on how best to handle them. We should also strive to stay away from any kind of deceitful behavior or actions that could lead us astray. By doing this, we will be able to live our lives according to the teachings of Islam and remain true believers in Allah’s path.
