Blessings of Physical Health, Safety and Security

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that having physical health, feeling safe and secure, and having food for the day is a blessing from Allah.

It was narrated from Salamah bin 'Ubaidullah bin Mihsan Al-Ansari that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever among you wakes up physically healthy, feeling safe and secure within himself, with food for the day, it is as if he acquired the whole world.’"

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about the blessings of physical health, safety and security. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that if someone wakes up in the morning with good physical health, feeling safe and secure within himself, with food for the day then it is as if he has acquired the whole world. This means that these three things are so valuable that they are worth more than all worldly possessions combined. It also shows us how grateful we should be to Allah for these blessings which He has bestowed upon us. We should never take them for granted but instead thank Him every day for His mercy towards us.
