Be kind to your neighbor; Show gratitude for whatever you have been blessed with; Do good deeds without expecting anything in return; Remember Allah loves those who do good deeds for others without expecting anything in return

This hadith is about the generosity of neighbors. It was narrated by Abu Salamah and Muhammad ibn Ishaq that 'Aishah said there was a month when no smoke was seen in any of the households of the family of Prophet Muhammad. When asked what they ate, she replied that it was only dates and water. However, they were blessed with generous neighbors among the Ansar who sent them milk from their domestic sheep which provided for nine households in total. This hadith teaches us to be kind to our neighbors as well as to be grateful for whatever we have been blessed with even if it is little or nothing at all. We should also remember to show kindness towards those around us regardless if we are related or not because Allah loves those who do good deeds for others without expecting anything in return.
