EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the poverty that the family of Prophet Muhammad faced. It was narrated from Abu 'Ubaidah that 'Abdullah said that the Messenger of Allah said “The family of Muhammad has only a Mudd or Mud of food”. This means that they were so poor they could barely afford enough food for one meal. This hadith teaches us to be grateful for what we have and to help those who are less fortunate than us. We should also remember how much our beloved prophet suffered in his life and strive to follow his example by being generous with our wealth and time.
