Praising Allah for Abstaining from Hot Food

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) praised Allah for not having eaten hot food in a long time.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "One day some hot food was brought to the Messenger of Allah , and he ate. Then when he had finished he said: 'Praise is to Allah, no hot food has entered my stomach since such and such a time.’"
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يَوْمًا بِطَعَامٍ سُخْنٍ فَأَكَلَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مَا دَخَلَ بَطْنِي طَعَامٌ سُخْنٌ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of abstaining from certain foods and praising Allah for it. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that one day, the Prophet Muhammad was presented with some hot food and he ate it. After finishing, he praised Allah saying that no hot food had entered his stomach since a certain time. This shows us how important it is to abstain from certain foods and to be grateful to God for being able to do so. We should also remember that we should always thank God for all of our blessings, no matter how small they may seem. By doing this, we can show our appreciation and love towards Him as well as strengthen our faith in Him.
