SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was pleased with a Qaif's statement that Usama bin Zaid and Zaid bin Haritha were of the same lineage.

Narrated 'Urwa: Aisha said, "A Qaif (ie one skilled in recognizing the lineage of a person through Physiognomy and through examining the body parts of an infant) came to me while the Prophet was present, and Usama bin Zaid and Zaid bin Haritha were Lying asleep. The Qa'if said. These feet (of Usama and his father) are of persons belonging to the same lineage'. " The Prophet was pleased with that saying which won his admiration, and he told 'Aisha of it.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about recognizing lineage through physiognomy. A Qaif came to 'Aisha while the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was present and Usama bin Zaid and Zaid bin Haritha were lying asleep. The Qa'if said that their feet belonged to persons of the same lineage which pleased the Prophet ﷺ and he told 'Aisha about it. This hadith teaches us that we should be able to recognize people's lineages through physical features such as their feet or other body parts. It also shows us how much respect the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had for those who are skilled in this field as he was pleased with what they said.
