EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith of Abdullah bin Yazid Al-Khatmi (May Allah be pleased with him) speaks to the importance of entrusting our religion, trust and deeds to Allah. This hadith was reported when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was bidding farewell to his army. He wanted them to remember that they should always put their faith in God and rely on Him for guidance in all matters. He also wanted them to remember that their trust should always remain in God’s hands as well as their last deeds before departing from this world. This hadith serves as a reminder for us all that we must always put our faith in God no matter what situation we are facing or what task we are undertaking. We must also ensure that our trust remains solely in His hands and that our last deed before departing from this world is something pleasing to Him so that He may grant us His mercy on the Day of Judgment.
