The Right Way to Put On and Take Off Shoes

SUMMARY: When putting on and taking off shoes, one should begin with the right shoe first.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah said, "When any of you puts on his shoes, he should put on the right one first; and when he takes them off, he should begin with the left. Let the right shoe be the first to be put on and the last to be taken off". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

QUICK LESSONS:
Put on your right shoe first when dressing up; Take off your left shoe first when undressing; Keep your environment clean and tidy

Avoid : Not following proper etiquette while dressing up or undressing

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) teaches us the etiquette of putting on and taking off our shoes. We should always start by putting on our right shoe first and then the left one. Similarly, when we take them off we should start with the left shoe first followed by the right one. This is a small act of kindness that can help us become better Muslims as it shows respect for ourselves as well as others around us. It also helps to keep our environment clean and tidy which is important in Islam too.
