Remember Allah's power and mercy in our lives; Show compassion towards those who have been wronged or punished; Repent from sins; Remain humble before God; Weep for those being tormented .

In this hadith, narrated by Ibn 'Umar, we learn that when the Prophet Muhammad and his companions reached Al-Hijr, which was once home to the Thamud people who were punished for their sins, he warned them not to pass by without weeping. This is because he wanted them to remember that if they do not repent and turn away from their sins then they too could face a similar punishment. He also wanted them to show mercy and compassion towards those who have been punished for their wrongdoings. This hadith teaches us that we should always remember Allah's power and mercy in our lives so that we can stay away from sinning and remain humble before Him.
