EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of fearing Allah in all aspects of life. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was asked by a man for advice before he set out on a journey. He ﷺ advised him to fear Allah and recite “Allahu Akbar” when ascending raised ground. He then prayed that Allah would shorten the distance of his journey and make it easy for him. This hadith teaches us that we should always remember to fear God in whatever we do or wherever we go. We should also remember to recite “Allahu Akbar” whenever we ascend raised ground as this will bring us closer to God and help us stay focused on our faith while travelling or doing any other activity. Additionally, this hadith reminds us that if we ask God sincerely for something good then He will answer our prayers even if it is something small like shortening the distance of a journey or making it easier for us.
