Supplicating Allah for the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that those who supplicate Allah more often for him will be the closest to him on the Day of Resurrection.

Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said: "The people who will be nearest to me on the Day of Resurrection will be those who supplicate Allah more often for me". At-Tirmidhi.
وعن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله قال‏:‏ “أولى الناس بي يوم القيامة أكثرهم علي صلاة‏"‏ رواه الترمذي وقال حديث حسن‏.‏

It also shows us how much we should love and respect our beloved Prophet, peace be upon him, by praying for his forgiveness and mercy from Allah Almighty. We should make sure to include duas in our daily prayers asking Allah to grant us His mercy through His beloved Messenger's intercession on the Last Day.
