The Power of Greeting

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that when someone greets him, Allah returns the soul to his body in the grave and he returns the greeting.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "Whenever someone greets me, Allah returns the soul to my body (in the grave) and I return his greeting". Abu Dawud.
وعنه أن رسول الله قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏ما من أحد يسلم علي إلا رد الله علي روحي حتى أرد عليه السلام‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه أبو داود بإسناد صحيح‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
