EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of prayer in Islam. It tells us that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite a specific supplication during his bowing and prostration while praying. The supplication was “Subhanak- Allahumma, Rabbana wa bihamdika. Allahum-maghfir li” which translates to “O Allah! You are free from imperfection and I begin with praising You. Forgive my sins”. This shows us how important it is for Muslims to make duas or supplications during their prayers as it is an act of worship that pleases God Almighty immensely. It also teaches us humility as we are asking for forgiveness from our Lord for our sins even though He knows them already and has forgiven them all before we even asked Him for forgiveness in the first place!
