The Reward of Remembering Allah

SUMMARY: Allah is with us when we remember Him and He will reward us for our remembrance.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "Allah the Exalted says: 'I am as my slave expects me to be, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me inwardly, I will remember him inwardly, and if he remembers Me in an assembly, I will remember him in a better assembly (ie, in the assembly of angels)". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to Remember God both privately and publicly

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that when we remember Allah in our hearts or in a gathering, He will reward us for it. We should always strive to remember Him and make sure that we are doing it sincerely. When we do this, Allah will be with us and He will also remember us in a better assembly than the one we are in - the assembly of angels. This hadith encourages believers to keep remembering their Lord as much as possible so they can receive His blessings and mercy. It also reminds them that they should have high expectations from their Lord because He is always willing to fulfill them if they are sincere in their remembrance of Him.
