QUICK LESSONS:
Seek protection through prayers & supplications before sleeping each night

EXPLANATIONS:
Every night before going to bed, the Prophet Muhammad would recite a prayer known as Al-Mu'awwidhat. This prayer is composed of two chapters from the Quran and is meant to protect one from any harm or danger. After reciting this prayer, he would then blow on his hands and pass them over his body in order to seek protection from Allah. This ritual was done by the Prophet every night as a way of seeking protection for himself and those around him. It serves as an example for us today that we should also seek protection through prayers and supplications before going to sleep each night.
