Ask forgiveness from Allah , Seek guidance from Allah , Seek protection from harm .

This hadith explains the supplication that a person should recite when they enter the fold of Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught Tariq bin Ashyam to say “Allahumm-aghfir li, warhamni, wa-hdini, wa 'afini, warzuqni” which translates to “O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, guard me against harm and provide me with sustenance and salvation”. This is an important prayer for anyone who has just entered into the religion of Islam as it is asking Allah for guidance and protection in this life and in the hereafter. It also shows us how important it is to ask Allah for forgiveness as well as mercy so that we can be successful in our lives both spiritually and physically. Additionally, this hadith teaches us about humility by showing us how we should always be humble before Allah even if we are new to His religion or have been following Him for many years.
