The Path to Jannah

SUMMARY: Doing unto others what you wish to be done unto you is the key to entering Jannah and being saved from the fire of Hell.

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah said, "He who desires to be rescued from the fire of Hell and to enter Jannah, should die in a state of complete belief in Allah and the Last Day, and should do unto others what he wishes to be done unto him". Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ teaches us that if we want to enter Jannah and be saved from the fire of Hell then we must have complete belief in Allah and the Last Day. Additionally, it teaches us that we should do unto others what we wish for them to do unto us. This is known as the golden rule or Qawl e Fareed in Arabic. It means that if you want people to treat you kindly then you should also treat them kindly in return. This hadith encourages us all to practice kindness and compassion towards one another so that we can all benefit from it in this life and beyond.
