EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about signs of disbelief. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that two matters are signs of disbelief on the part of those who indulge in them. These two matters are defaming and speaking evil about someone's lineage and wailing over the dead. Defaming means to make false accusations against someone or to spread lies about them while speaking ill means using harsh words against someone or insulting them. Lineage refers to one's family background or ancestry while wailing is an expression of grief by crying loudly and making loud noises when mourning for a deceased person. Both these acts are considered as signs of disbelief because they go against Islamic teachings which emphasize respect for others and forbidding from causing harm to anyone through words or actions.
