This hadith speaks of the importance of seeking forgiveness from Allah and turning to Him in repentance. It is narrated by Aishah, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad, that he used to supplicate frequently before his death. This supplication was “Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi; Astaghfirullaha wa atubu ilaihi” which translates as “Allah is free from imperfection, and I begin with praising Him. I beg forgiveness from Allah and I turn to Him in repentance”. This hadith teaches us that we should always seek forgiveness from God for our sins, no matter how small they may be, as it is a sign of humility towards God Almighty.
