Fighting in the Cause of Allah

SUMMARY: Allah will forgive and show mercy to those who fight in His cause, even if they have killed someone else.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah said, "Allah, the Exalted, smiles at two men, one of them killed the other and both will enter Jannah. The first is killed by the other while he is fighting in the Cause of Allah, and thereafter Allah will turn in mercy to the second and guide him to accept Islam and then he dies as a Shaheed (martyr) fighting in the Cause of Allah". Al-Bukhari and Muslim

QUICK LESSONS:
Fight for justice even if it means sacrificing your own life .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the rewards that await those who fight for the cause of Allah. It is narrated by Abu Hurairah, a companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, that he said that Allah smiles at two men who enter Jannah despite one killing the other. The first man was killed while fighting for the cause of Allah and then afterwards, God turns to mercy and guides the second man to accept Islam before he dies as a martyr while fighting for His cause. This hadith teaches us that no matter what we have done in our past, if we strive to do good deeds and fight for what is right then God will forgive us and show us mercy. It also shows us how important it is to stand up for justice even if it means sacrificing our own lives because God will reward those who do so with eternal bliss in Jannah.
