Obeying the Prophet's Teachings Leads to Paradise

SUMMARY: Everyone who follows the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will enter Paradise, while those who disobey him will not.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah said, "Everyone of my Ummah will enter Jannah except those who refuse". He was asked: "Who will refuse?" He said, "Whoever obeys me, shall enter Jannah, and whosoever disobeys me, refuses to (enter Jannah)". Al- Bukhari.
الثالث‏:‏ عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله قال‏:‏ ‏"‏كل أمتي يدخلون الجنة إلا من أبى ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قيل‏:‏ ومن يأبى يا رسول الله قال‏:‏ ‏"‏ من أطاعني دخل الجنة، ومن عصاني فقد أبى‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, leads to paradise. The Prophet said that everyone in his ummah - or community - would enter paradise except those who refuse to obey his teachings. He was asked who would refuse and he replied that anyone who obeys him will enter paradise and anyone who disobeys him refuses to do so. This hadith teaches us that if we want to reach paradise, we must follow the teachings of our beloved prophet and obey them without question. We should strive to live our lives according to these teachings in order for us to reap its rewards in this life and hereafter.
