The Protection of Allah Through Fajr Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught that those who offer the Fajr prayer in congregation are under Allah's protection and will not be held accountable for any wrongdoings.

Jundub bin Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah said, "When anyone offers the Fajr (dawn) prayer, in congregation, he is in the Protection of Allah. So let not Allah call him to account, withdrawing, in any respect, His Protection. Because, He will get hold of him and throw him down on his face in the Hell-fire". Muslim

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of offering the Fajr prayer in congregation, as it is a way to gain protection from Allah. It was narrated by Jundub bin Abdullah, who reported that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “When anyone offers the Fajr prayer, in congregation, he is in the Protection of Allah. So let not Allah call him to account, withdrawing, in any respect, His Protection. Because He will get hold of him and throw him down on his face in the Hell-fire”. This hadith teaches us that if we pray together with others at dawn we can be sure that we are under God’s protection and He will not punish us for our wrongdoings or sins. We should therefore strive to make sure we attend congregational prayers whenever possible so as to benefit from this divine protection and mercy from God Almighty.
