The hadith narrated by Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) speaks of the importance of being kind and generous towards one's neighbours. It is reported that she asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ which of her two neighbours should she send a present to and he replied that it should be sent to the one whose door was nearer. This teaches us that we should prioritize our closest neighbours in terms of kindness and generosity as they are more deserving than those who live further away from us.
