Respect Your Parents

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught that the most deserving of a person's kindness and respect is their mother, followed by their father.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A person came to Messenger of Allah and asked, "Who among people is most deserving of my fine treatment?" He said, "Your mother". He again asked, ''Who next?" "Your mother", the Prophet replied again. He asked, "Who next?" He (the Prophet ) said again, "Your mother". He again asked, "Then who?" Thereupon he said," Then your father". In another narration: "O Messenger of Allah! Who is most deserving of my fine treatment?" He said, "Your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father, then your nearest, then nearest". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the importance of respecting our parents. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said that the most deserving of a person's kindness and respect is their mother, followed by their father. He repeated this three times to emphasize its importance. We should always show our parents love and appreciation for all they have done for us throughout our lives. We should also be kind to those around us who are not related to us but may need help or support in some way. By showing kindness and respect to others we can make the world a better place for everyone!
