SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) warned against not taking care of one's parents when they reach old age.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet said, "May he be disgraced! May he be disgraced! May he be disgraced, whose parents, one or both, attain old age during his life time, and he does not enter Jannah (by rendering being dutiful to them)". Muslim.

QUICK LESSONS:
Take care of your elderly parents with respect and obedience. Fulfill their rights by providing for them financially and emotionally.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us the importance of respecting and taking care of our parents, especially when they reach old age. He said that if a person does not take care of their elderly parents, then they will be disgraced and will not enter Paradise. This hadith emphasizes the importance of fulfilling parental rights, which includes providing for them financially and emotionally as well as showing them respect and obedience. It is important to remember that our parents have done so much for us throughout our lives, so it is only right to return the favor by taking care of them in their old age.
