This hadith is about the importance of maintaining relationships. It tells us that Allah has created a bond of relationship which is suspended from His throne, and it says that whoever keeps good relations with others, Allah will keep connection with him. On the other hand, if someone severs ties with others, then Allah will also sever connection with him. This hadith teaches us to be kind to our family members and friends and to treat them well so that we can receive blessings from Allah in return.
