QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to do our best to please God
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the mercy of Allah, which is greater than His wrath. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that he heard the Messenger of Allah say that when Allah created all creatures, He wrote in a book which is with Him over His Throne that “Verily, My Mercy prevailed over My Wrath”. This means that no matter how angry or displeased He may be with us, His mercy will always be greater and will ultimately prevail. We should take comfort in this knowledge and strive to do our best to please Him so we can benefit from His mercy and compassion.
