EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about the power of collective prayer and how it can benefit those who have passed away. It is narrated by Ibn 'Abbas, one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad, that if forty people who do not associate anything with Allah in worship perform the funeral prayer for a Muslim, then Allah will make them intercede for him. This means that their prayers will help to bring peace and mercy to the deceased person's soul. This hadith also encourages us to come together as a community and pray collectively for our loved ones when they pass away. By doing so, we can ensure that their souls are blessed and comforted in their final moments on this earth. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us to always strive towards righteousness and piety so that we may receive such blessings from others when our time comes too.
