Imitating Allah's Creation is Forbidden

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) warned against imitating Allah's creation and reminded us that those who do so will be severely punished on the Day of Resurrection.

'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah returned once from a journey, and saw a curtain which I had hung along a platform with some pictures on it. The colour of his face changed. He tore it up and said, "O 'Aishah, the most tormented people on the Day of Resurrection are those who contend with Allah in terms of creation". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for God's authority & power over His creations , Acceptance & submission towards what has been predetermined by Him .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that we should not imitate or try to compete with Allah in terms of His creation. He returned from a journey and saw a curtain which had pictures on it, and his face changed in anger. He tore it up and said, “O 'Aishah, the most tormented people on the Day of Resurrection are those who contend with Allah in terms of creation”. This hadith teaches us that we should not try to imitate or compete with God’s creations as this is forbidden by Islam. We must remember that God is the only Creator, and He alone has control over all things; therefore, trying to imitate Him will lead to severe punishment on the Day of Judgement. We must also remember that everything happens according to His will; no one can change what has been predetermined by Him. Therefore, we should accept whatever comes our way without trying to challenge God’s authority or power over His creations.
