The Prophet said, "The most honorable of them in Allah's Sight are those who keep their duty to Allah and fear Him. They said, "We do not ask you about that". He said, "Then the most honorable of the people is Joseph, Allah's prophet, the son of Allah's prophet, the son of Allah's prophet, the son of Allah's Khalil ie Abraham) They said, "We do not ask you about that". The Prophet said, Do you ask about (the virtues of the ancestry of the Arabs?" EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about honoring those who fear Allah and keep their duty to Him. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was asked who were the most honorable of people, and he replied that it was those who kept their duty to Allah and feared Him. He then went on to explain that even though times have changed since pre-Islamic days, those who were best amongst them at that time would still be considered as such if they understood Islam. This hadith teaches us how important it is for us to fear God and do our duties towards Him so we can be honored by Him. It also shows us how important it is for us to understand Islam so we can continue being respected even after times have changed.
