QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for Marriage , Communication & Understanding between Couples , Patience & Compromise in Marital Issues .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the unfortunate event of divorce in a marriage. It is narrated by Al-Hasan that Ma'qil's sister was divorced once after her marriage. This hadith highlights the importance of understanding and respecting the sanctity of marriage and how it should not be taken lightly or for granted. It also serves as a reminder to couples to work on their relationship and try to resolve any issues before taking such drastic steps as divorce, which can have long lasting effects on both parties involved, especially if there are children involved.

Divorce should always be seen as a last resort when all other options have been exhausted, and couples should strive to make their marriages work through communication, understanding, patience and compromise. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said “The most perfect believers are those who have the best character; and the best of you are those who are best to their wives” [Sunan Ibn Majah]. Therefore it is important for couples to remember this advice from our beloved Prophet ﷺ when dealing with marital issues so that they can maintain a healthy relationship with each other while upholding Islamic values at all times.
