EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of alcoholic drinks. It was narrated by Anas ibn Malik, who said that at the time they lived in Medina, alcoholic drinks were prohibited and it was rare to find wine made from grapes. Instead, most of their liquors were made from unripe and ripe dates. This hadith teaches us that consuming alcohol is forbidden in Islam and should be avoided at all costs. It also shows us that even if something is not explicitly mentioned as being forbidden or haram, it can still be considered so if it has a negative effect on our lives or society as a whole.
