Prohibition of Alcoholic Drinks

SUMMARY: Alcoholic drinks have been prohibited and should be thrown away.

Narrated Anas: While I was waiting on my uncles and serving them with (wine prepared from) dates----and I was the youngest of them----it was said, "Alcoholic drinks have been prohibited". So they said (to me), "Throw it away". So I threw it away.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا، قَالَ كُنْتُ قَائِمًا عَلَى الْحَىِّ أَسْقِيهِمْ ـ عُمُومَتِي وَأَنَا أَصْغَرُهُمُ ـ الْفَضِيخَ، فَقِيلَ حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ‏.‏ فَقَالُوا أَكْفِئْهَا‏.‏ فَكَفَأْتُهَا‏.‏ قُلْتُ لأَنَسٍ مَا شَرَابُهُمْ قَالَ رُطَبٌ وَبُسْرٌ‏.‏ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَنَسٍ وَكَانَتْ خَمْرَهُمْ‏.‏ فَلَمْ يُنْكِرْ أَنَسٌ‏.‏ وَحَدَّثَنِي بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ كَانَتْ خَمْرَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Anas ibn Malik, who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In this hadith, it is mentioned that alcoholic drinks have been prohibited and should be thrown away. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that alcohol consumption is forbidden in Islam as it can lead to many negative consequences such as addiction, health problems, and social issues. Therefore, Muslims must avoid consuming any type of alcoholic drink or anything containing alcohol in order to remain obedient to Allah's commands. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us the importance of following the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ without hesitation or delay.
