Prohibition of Alcoholic Drinks

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the use of certain containers for preparing alcoholic drinks, and allowed the use of clay jars not covered with pitch.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: When the Prophet forbade the use of certain containers (that were used for preparing alcoholic drinks), somebody said to the Prophet ".But not all the people can find skins". So he allowed them to use clay jars not covered with pitch.

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Allah's commands even if it is inconvenient or difficult . Avoid things which are forbidden in Islam .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of alcoholic drinks. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ forbade people from using certain containers to prepare alcoholic drinks, as it was a common practice at that time. He then allowed them to use clay jars instead, as long as they were not covered with pitch. This hadith teaches us that alcohol is prohibited in Islam and should be avoided at all costs. It also shows us that even if something is difficult or inconvenient for us to do, we should still strive to follow Allah's commands and stay away from things which are forbidden in Islam.
