Sweetness of the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet liked sweet edible things and honey.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet used to like sweet edible things and honey.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُحِبُّ الْحَلْوَاءَ وَالْعَسَلَ‏.‏

This hadith also teaches us to be content with what we have, as the Prophet did not need anything extravagant or luxurious to be happy. We can learn from this hadith that it is okay to enjoy small treats in moderation without overindulging or going overboard with them.
